In the last one week, there has been an earthquake in the Andaman Islands that has gone almost unnoticed. This quake went up to nearly 7.8 on the Richter scale. It could have been quite a disastrous quake if it had occur ed on land, that is on a place that was inhabited by a large number of people.
Today, we keep hearing of all sorts of climate changes that are really weird, to say the least. In places where rainfall has been high, suddenly there is a very big drought. There is no water for cattle or humans, leaving the ground parched and arid. In other places where there wasn’t much rain until now, it is common to find very heavy rains and sometimes even floods.
All together, it is a situation that is not only quite alarming, but one that can leave you feeling quite helpless and sad. You keep wondering if there is anything at all that you can do in the face of all these difficulties that nature seems to be posing to mankind. It would be good if people could understand that they are the very authors of all these difficulties and could help do their mite to change the situation.
